Paws Aboard Doggy Boat Ladder and Ramp Review:

It is always a challenge getting our dog back into the boat after he has jumped into the lake for a nice swim during a hot summer day. That was until a friend recommended to me the Doggy Boat Ladder and Ramp by Paws Aboard. This ramp is an excellent accessory if you want to take you dog boating with you. Our dog is old and arthritic and I didn’t want to expose him to conditions that would risk straining his legs or injuring his joints.

With the Paws Aboard Doggy Boat Ladder and Ramp, he found it very easy to get into and out of water without much straining. Also, I found the ramp easy to carry around, install and also store. Since I discovered it, I have never had to fear of my dog getting it’s back injured or needing to worry about getting wet myself helping him back into the boat.

Features and pros:

• Capable of securely attaching to just about any boat ladder containing 3 or more steps
• It’s ribbed design is slip-resistant, meaning it is safe for use on all pets.
• When humans need to use the boat ladder, the ramp easily detaches and then floats adjacent to the watercraft.
• Easy to attach and remove in just seconds
• Both corrosion and rust-proof
• Easy to wash using normal soap detergents and water
• Very high quality workmanship
• Resistant to ultra violet light
• Capable of folding into half so that it can be carried easily
• Durable and lightweight
• Reduces strain and pain for owners of pets

Ease of learning

It took only a few minutes and my dog was able to learn how to use the Paws Aboard Doggy Boat Ladder and Ramp. Basically, this is just like any other ramp only that it extends below the water surface in order to reach the dog’s feet. After swimming or retrieving a toy, dogs would naturally want a way in which to get themselves out of the swimming pool or up into a boat.

How does the Doggy Boat Ladder attach to a boat?

The Paws Aboard Doggy Boat Ladder and Ramp is designed in a way that it provides to your watercraft a ramp approach by virtue of the fact that it can securely get attached to just about any ladder that contains three steps or more. Given their high quality, these boat ladders are suitable for use in almost any weather. Although it does float on water, it must never be used for the purpose of a floatation device.

The manufacturers of this boat ramp did not intend that it be used on heavier dogs that weight over 90 lbs. this is something that becomes apparent when you look at how narrow the steps are.

For dogs that are younger and weigh less than 90lbs, this dog ramp and ladder is perfect for assisting them to get into the boat. This way, they will not slip and hurt themselves as they enter the boat. It is also very good to use on arthritic and old dogs.
